Intermediate Listening is a thirteen-week course which consists of six units based on widely appealing themes: Family, Education, Health, Sports, Business, and the Environment. Each unit features a Hearing the Sounds Lesson, a Listening Skills Lesson, and a videotaped Grammar Lesson. These lessons, and the assignment that follows them, are delivered with reference to radio documentaries, interviews and debates, presentations, and videotaped dramatizations. Students are guided in comprehending this challenging listening material by graphics, carefully crafted questions with immediate computer feedback, and vocabulary development exercises. |
